FRAUD ALERT!
It has recently come to our
attention, that someone pretending to be an agent
of this company, is soliciting individuals
to perform duties on our behalf and offering
substantial payments for doing so.
Please be advised that Adare Enterprises
Inc. does not employ or authorize any agents
in this manner, and anyone suggesting
otherwise is perpetrating fraud.
A number of individuals have responded to
spam emails offering work collecting funds
on behalf of Adare Enterprises Inc., for
which they will be rewarded 10% of the
amounts collected.
THIS IS A SCAM! Yes, you may receive a
"certified cheque" for a large amount,
which may initially appear to clear your
bank. You will be expected to remit 90%
of that amount, (by wire transfer no less to
ensure they get the money) only to find
out weeks or
months later that the "certified cheque"
was bogus, leaving you on the hook
for the 90%.
ADARE ENTERPRISES INC. HAS NO INVOLVEMENT
OR
RESPONSIBILITY
FOR THIS SCHEME!
These bogus job offers are very cleverly
designed to appear perfectly legitimate,
but don't be taken in by their appearance
of legitimacy. The scam artists hijack real
addresses (such as this company's), but
hide their real identities behind "@yahoo.com"
or "@hotmail.com" email addresses.
Adare's employees of course have "@adare.ca"
mail addresses.
Also, the diction and grammar used in these
"offers" is
convoluted and incorrect,
which could lead one to
believe that the writer is poorly educated.
Perhaps this is a
deliberate attempt to confuse?
